First Visit
Kids Teeth is dedicated to making your child’s first visit a positive experience. When you make your first appointment, we will send your child a book that will describe and introduce our office, the doctors, and the staff that they will encounter during their initial appointment.
We have a large play room for your child to use while you fill out any necessary insurance and health history information forms. This will also help get them acquainted with a new environment.
Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. We want to get to know you and your child. We will review you health and dental history and any chief concerns. Oral hygiene instructions will be provided in an age appropriate fashion. We will review your child’s diet and any pertinent history of oral habits. We will conduct a comprehensive examination and in most cases, we will also clean your child’s teeth on this visit. If needed, we will take x-rays to evaluate any potential dental decay or to evaluate your child’s growth and development. We will provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
