Kids Teeth will always provide the best-estimated cost before treatment is administered. We routinely monitor multiple dental insurance plans, their premiums and the benefits. This allows us to accurately inform our patient families which procedures are typically covered and how to maximize their benefits. To receive a “pre-estimate,” call us with your insurance information and we’ll review your plan prior to your child’s visit.
Please note that we do need all insurance information several days in advance to provide the best estimated cost.
How Can Kids Teeth Work With Your Dental Benefits?
We have a large percentage of patients that do have and utilize dental insurance. Let us show you how you can utilize your benefit package!
No Insurance? No Problem!
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards and offer a 5% discount for cash or check payments. You can pay securely online. In addition, we offer a $25 credit when you refer a friend and they book an appointment at one of our Mount Pleasant, South Carolina locations.

Will Kids Teeth accept my dental insurance?
YES! We will file with all insurance companies for you as long as you have provided all the pertinent information prior to your scheduled appointment. We have a highly experienced business team that can help you navigate any potential “out-of-network” fees based on your employers dental health plan. Give us a call to review your benefits today!
What does "out of network" mean?
Out of Network isn’t as scary as it seems; it simply means that Kids Teeth does not have a contract with your insurance provider. However, we will file your insurance and you will be responsible for the difference. Depending on your insurance coverage, a small fee may be associated with your visit. To learn more about your specific coverage, call us for a pre-estimate.
How will insurance help with our recommended treatment plan?
Our Treatment Coordinators work as your concierges that help you navigate your dental insurance to maximize your benefits yearly and keep dental costs low. They are dedicated to helping you plan your child’s care if needed. Their role at our office is to make sure you understand and are comfortable with the doctor’s recommendations leaving you with peace of mind and ensuring the best possible dental health for you little ones.
What if I don't have any insurance?
For our self-pay families we offer a 5% discount when you pay with cash or check at checkout. We also have a great referral program that allows you to earn a $25 credit for each referral you send to our office; just have your friend or family member mention your name when booking their first appointment. Lastly, all 18 month and under exams are complimentary!
Is my dental insurance different from my health insurance?
Comparing dental insurance to health insurance is like comparing apples to oranges they just don’t work the same way. Think of your dental insurance more like a $1000 gift card that you can use towards your dental coverage. The insurance company puts restrictions on the gift card and has a maximum benefit for the calendar year. By providing us with your dental insurance information prior to your appointment, we are able to check your individual coverage and let you know of any expenses prior to treatment.
