Kids Teeth Puppet Show

Kids Teeth wants to visit your school during Children’s Dental Health Month

Parents can remind their kids to brush and floss all day long, but there’s something about Dudley the Dinosaur and his oversized toothbrush that really gets their attention. As part of National Children’s Dental Health Month, Mount Pleasant pediatric dentist Kids Teeth takes its interactive puppet show on the road to teach children about the benefits of good oKids Teeth Puppet Showral health.

During the month of February, Kids Teeth visits daycare centers and preschools all around Charleston County with a puppet show that informs young children about daily brushing and flossing, visiting the dentists and maintaining a health diet for good dental health.

The 30-minute show is fun and interactive with Dudley the Dinosaur and his sidekicks Plaque Peddler and Tooth Fairy helping demonstrate proper brushing and dental care.

The Kids Teeth puppet show is available to any daycare center or preschool in Charleston County free of charge during February. All children also receive a goodie bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Spots fill up fast, so schools are encouraged to schedule their puppet show as soon as possible by calling 843-216-5879.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends children see a pediatric dentist by 12 months of age or within 6 months after their first tooth appears.

National studies are showing preschool-aged children are getting more cavities. In fact, one in four children in the United States has had at least one cavity by the age of 4, and many kids get cavities as early as age 2.
