Kids Teeth always puts the health and care of our patients and their families as our top priority. Our job has always required us to follow strict OSHA/CDC guidelines for Infection Control. We’ve continued to follow these high cleaning standards along with several updates throughout the pandemic.
COVID-19 Update, September 2021:
Both Kids Teeth offices will continue to require masks. As a healthcare facility that provides care to young children who are not able to get vaccinated, masks are part of our multi-faceted, layered approach to protecting our staff as well as our patients and their families. We are also continuing to disinfect high touch surface areas, providing hand sanitizer, and keeping the brushing stations closed to help eliminate the spread of germs. At this time our playroom is OPEN and we are frequently sanitizing the area throughout the day. If your child is looking forward to playing on the playroom ship, please confirm it’s open prior to your appointment.
How do I know when to cancel or reschedule my child’s appointment?
- If your child is currently showing any symptoms – fever, stomach pain, body aches, etc.
- If you’ve received a close contact notification at school and your child is under a required quarantine.
- Awaiting a COVID test result (please ensure they are negative before moving forward with their dental visit).
Any of the items listed above are signs to reschedule your child’s upcoming dental appointment. Please notify us as soon as possible and reschedule at least two weeks later.
Attention 12+ vaccinated patients – if you’ve had a close contact but are showing no symptoms, please keep your appointment.
As always, we appreciate your cooperation and assistance in keeping our office a safe and happy place to visit. If you have any additional questions, please call us at (843) 216-5879.
